Gnarls Barkley & The Violent Femmes “Crazy”

Violent Femmes Crazy

A couple years back, Gnarls Barkley covered The Violent Femmes “Gone Daddy Gone” on their “St Elsewhere” album. Now The Violent Femmes have emerged from inactivity and released a cover of the Gnarls Barkley hit “Crazy”.

While “Crazy” has been covered by a lot of people and is pretty much played out at this point, the Femmes do it justice. It definitely sounds like a Violent Femmes original. This is also an interesting move as it could possibly be a sign that the band may work together again after several years of inactivity and in-fighting.

You can get more info about the release here, which includes more info, a sound clip and artwork. The entire song in streaming format and a video contest can be found on MySpace.

The song is also available for purchase on iTunes and in limited edition 12″ Vinyl format. The vinyl version comes with 2 bonus tracks, an instrumental version of the song and an acapella version. Crazy.
